Ko sem se pripravljal za študij v Ljubljani, pogovarajal sem se z svojimi rojaki in prijateljio o tem. Zaskrbljen zaradi tega kako bom poslušal predavanja če ne razumem slovenski jezik, moj ujec, mi je povedal da če veš kaj je odprto-zaprto /otvoreno-zatvoreno, potem vse razumeš. "Vidiš kako je lahko razumeti slovenski jezik."
Črni humor, z njegove strani, a to sem spoznal ko sem prvič prišel na predavanja v Rožno dolino.

Študij v Ljubljani

Že 30 let je kako sem končal študij v Ljubljani. Od takrat se je toliko tega zgodilo da bi lahko napisal več kot 30 knjig. Danes bom začel pisati od mojega prihoda v Ljubljano, septembra 1970 leta do danes, dogodke ki so po mojem mnenju zanimivi.Zakaj? PODRŠKA CLAIRE McCASKILL

Kada je u našu redakciju stigao poziv od strane organizatora da prisustvujemo velikom skupu Demokrata na kojem će lično prisustvovati bivši predsjednik Bill Clinton, primili smo to kao veliko priznanje bh. zajednici Saint Louisa. Naši mnogobrojni mogući glasovi će sigurno dobro doći gospođi Claire McCaskill prilikom izbora demokratskog predstavnika u američkom Senatu.

Prostor ispred dvorane gdje se trebala održati ova manifestacija od ranih jutarnjih sati mogao se prepoznati po mnoštvu parkiranih automobila i ljudima koji su ispred dvorane nosili velike transparente sa imenom kandidata za US Senat, gospođe Claire McCaskill. Sigurnosna služba ili „Sicret Service”, potom je pristupila pregledu foto aparata i TV kamera svih nas koji smo dobili Press akreditacije za ovaj događaj. Veoma organizovana grupa ove službe prvo nas je zamolila da svoje kamere spustimo na pod da bi ih njihov dobro obučen pas nanjušio i provjerio da se slučajno u nekoj od torbi reportera ne nalazi eksploziv. Svi smo zanijemili od čuda kada je pas počeo da skače oko jedne torbe da bi potom službenik pitao čija je. Kada se vlasnik javio, i na zahtijev službenika otvorio torbu prasnuli smo u smijeh kada je novinar, vlasnik foto-torbe, iz nje izvadio sendvič. To je i bio razlog što se dobro dresirani pas uznemirio.

Ipak, nakon dugog čekanja uveli su nas u dvoranu na već određeno mjesto za novinare i snimatelje. Sva mjesta u sali popunjena. Simpatizeri Demokrata i oni koji su došli da daju podršku kandidatu za Senat gospođi McCaskill visoko su podizali svoje transparente sa njenim imenom. Voditelj je predstavljao jednog po jednog gosta koji bi nakon kratkog mahanja stajali iza njega. Došao je na red i osvjedočeni prijatelj Bosne, Kongresmen Russ Karnahan. Održao je kratki govor često prekidan burnim aplauzima. Atmosfera je već prilično zagrijana. A onda vrhunac događaja. Oficijalni spiker najavljuje ulazak bivšeg predsjednika Sjedinjenih Američkih Država Billa Clintona koji na scenu dolazi u pratnji gospođe Claire McCaskill koja prilazi mikrofonu dok Clinton stoji iza nje ležerno držeći ruke u džepovima. Aplauz ne prestaje. Kandidat za US Senat, gospođa McCaskill se zahvaljuje Clintonu na podršci te govori o promjenama koje će ona učiniti ukoliko kampanja uspije i Demokrate preuzmu vodeću ulogu. Potom predstavlja članove svoje obitelji koji izlaze na podijum zauzimajući već pripremljeno mjesto. Gospodin Clinton potom prilazi govornici i otvoreno govori o svim nedostacima Republikanaca i svemu onome što će Demokrate učiniti da to promjene.

Govoreći o nacionalnoj sigurnosti i kontroli na aerodromima i lukama Clinton je rekao da se ogroman novac troši za kontrolu kargo tereta koji ulazi na tlo Amerike. Kritikujući Republikance i njihovu politiku, Clinton je naglasio da je sve više ugrožena siromašna klasa te da je napravljena sve veća razlika između siromašnih i bogatih. U tom kontekstu dao je podršku gospođi McCaskill koja će se na sljedećim izborima kandidovati ispred Demokrata za US Senat a kao oponent Republikanskom senatoru Jim Talentu. Clinton je ovom priliko pozvao sve glasače Savezne Države Missouri, koja inače nosi nadimak „Show-Me State“, da izađe na izbore i glasa za Demokrate te da na taj način promijene nacionalni kurs.

Republikanci koji sada sjede u Washingtonu „su nam do sada pokazali“, dodao je Clinton, „da nisu sposobni obezbijediti veće plate za radnike i bolju nacionalnu sigurnost“. „Najglavniji cilj Republikanaca je da izgrade moć“, rekao je na karaju svog izlaganja bivši predsjednik Bill Clinton.

Osim govora koji je održao davajući podršku McCaskill, Clinton je održao i „Fund – Raising“ konferenciju u Chase Park Plaza kom prilikom je prikupljeno preko milion dolara za kampanju gospođe McCaskill.

Vielen Dank noch nachträglich für Ihre excellente Übersetzungstätigkeit

Posao - Vještine zbog kojih vas poslodavci ne pitaju za diplomu!

Riječ je o ličnim vještinama i umijećima, a određuju ih sposobnost rješavanja zahtjevnih problema i zadataka na poslu. Te vas osobine određuju kao lidera, pregovarača, komunikatora, timskog igrača, motivatora.

Imate posjetnicu na kojoj piše: dr. ili mr. ili neka druga titula... impresivno! No sve te fascinantne titule, pa čak i mreža poznanstava koje imate, nisu više dovoljni da vam osiguraju posao iz snova. Danas poslodavci žele znati koliko ste «jaki» na području vještina koje se popularno zovu soft skills. To je ono što će vam omogućiti napredak u karijeri, uspjeh u poslu i zadovoljstvo u životu. A šta su to soft skills zapravo?

Ako ste jaki u području soft skillova bolje ćete obavljati posao pod stresom, učinkovitije voditi tim i znati kada i koje poslove treba delegirati. Bit ćete kvalitetniji motivator, a vaš će tim postizati bolje rezultate

Soft skills su osnovne vještine koje ljudima trebaju za uspjeh u poslu. Ne mogu se izmjeriti, a predstavljaju osobne vještine, ne-tehničnke naravi, koje u mnogočemu zapravo određuju vašu osobnost i sposobnost rješavanja zahtjevnih problema i zadataka na poslu.
One vas karakteriziraju kao lidera, pregovarača, komunikatora, timskog igrača, motivatora... Za razliku od tih vještina tzv.'hard skills' su sposobnosti koje se stječu obrazovanjem, a rezultiraju titulom koju dobivate jednom kad već imate u ruci diplomu ili završnu svjedožbu.

Pitanja na kojima se «pada» ili «prolazi»

Pitanja na koja ćete danas odgovarati kad se natječete za posao, sve su manje u silu «Koju ste školu završili?», a sve su bliža sljedećima: «Volite li raditi u timu?», «Kako se nosite sa stresom?» ili «Jeste li uspješni u komuniciranju s ljudima?» Ili pitanje: «Jeste li uspješni u rješavanju problema? Kakvi ste u rješavanju konflikata?». Upravo na tim pitanjima «prolazite» ili «padate» kod poslodavaca, jer ona otkrivaju ko ste ispod kravate ili poslovnog odijela.

Poslodavcima je stalo da te vještine posjeduju svi njihovi djelatnici, a onima kojima te vještine nedostaju spremni su ponuditi dodatnu izobrazbu. Stalo im je da ste jaki u području koje se naziva soft skills jer ćete u tom slučaju bolje obavljati svoj posao pod stresom, učinkovitije ćete voditi timove, znat ćete kada i koje poslove treba delegirati kako biste se sami (a usput, izvanredno ste plaćeni) posvetili važnijim stvarima i uspjeli kvalitetno riješiti svaki problem, istodobno vodeći firmu i razvijajući poslove.

Pet zlatnih pravila za svladavanje vještina nazvanih soft skills

1. Napravite analizu vještina koje posjedujete vi i vaš tim i upoznajte se s konceptom i usvajajte ih korak po korak. Isto primijenite i na članove tima. Dovedite svoja očekivanja u realne okvire. I vježbajte.

2. Motivirajte zaposlenike da stiču nove vještine, pojasnite im koju korist od novih vještina imaju oni sami i koja je korist za cijeli tim. Animirajte i svoj tim da sudjeluje u kreiranju potreba. Ljudi rado sudjeluju u onome za što su i sami zaslužni.

3. Koristite pomoć stručnjaka/trenera. Life Coach ili neki drugi stručnjak s provjerenim iskustvom, zna kako vas kroz primjereni trening podučiti novim vještinama.

4. Uočite individualne potrebe svojih uposlenika. Svi pričaju o timskom radu, ali ovdje je važno da vještine usvoje najprije pojedinci. Osoban pristup iznimno je koristan.

5. Osigurajte komplementarnost vještina u timu. Nisu svi ljudi isti, ali to je dobra vijest. Koristite snažno izražene osobine pojedinih članova tima i kreirajte tim koji će raznorodnim vještinama pridonijeti ukupnoj kvaliteti.

Bit ćete kvalitetniji motivator, a vaš će tim postizati bolje rezultate. Jednostavno rečeno - poslodavcima ćete osigurati veći profit i konkurentniju poziciju na tržištu. Dakle, razvijajte i učite vještine koje zovemo soft skills.

Emocionalne kompetencije

U knjizi Emocionalna inteligencija na poslu, David Goleman, jedan od začetnika ideje o emocionalnoj inleligenciji, govori upravo o tim vještinama. Autor ih smatra dijelom emocionalnih kompetencija. Prema Golemanu, emocionalne kompetencije čine osobne kompetencije i društvene kompetencije.

Osobne kompetencije predstavljaju sposobnost da se nosimo s vlastitim teškoćama, a to su samosvijest, samosvladavanje i motiviranost, dok u društvene kompetencije spada sposobnost ovladavanja odnosima s drugima, i to empatija i društvena umijeća ili - soft skills.

Visoko na ljestvici vještina bez kojih uspjeh u poslu nije moguć jesu utjecajnost, sposobnost komuniciranja, motiviranje drugih i sebe samih te rješavanje sukoba i prihvaćanje promjena. Usto važne vještine su sposobnost stvaranja veza, sposobnost izgradnje i rada u skupini. Dakako, i već toliko puta spominjana sposobnost vođenja ili leadership.

Vještine koje se uče:

- Dobra je vijest da se te vještina mogu naučiti, odnosno mogu se steći vremenom i izobrazbom. Na tečajevima i seminarima koji su dostupni na našem tržištu, možete u individualnom ili timskom radu svladati upravo one vještine koje vam nedostaju.

- Naime, moguće je i prema vašim potrebama ili potrebama vašeg tima u kompaniji napraviti «in-house» program odabranih vještina koje biste željeli steći ili usavršiti. Na taj način možete naučiti kako postati vještiji i nadopuniti znanja koja ste stekli u redovnom školovanju za koja vam je obrazovna ustanova dodijelila titulu.

- Razvoj tih vještina (soft skills) dovest će vas i vaš tim na novu razinu kvalitete. Stavljajući tim ili uposlenike u središte zanimanja, razvijat ćete kod njih vještine koje će koristiti kompaniji, jednako kao i njima pojedinačno. To će ohrabriti svakog člana tima da traži najbolja rješenja i daje maksimum od sebe.

- Očekivanje da djelatnici ulažu u sebe i u članove tima nije samo pravo kvalitetnog poslodavca i uposlenika nego i njegova obaveza. Provjerite koliko zarađujete i ne libite se odvojiti dio sredstava za učenje vještina koje će vam profit samo povećati.

CLINTON: Ja imam veoma dug i dubok interes ka Balkanu a posebno ka Bosni i Hercegovini. Veoma sam ponosna na moju ulogu tokom vlade Predsjednika Clintona u devedesetim godinama koje su i konačno donijele mir u Bosni, zatim dešavanjima na Kosovu i svim patnjama ljudi u ovome regionu. Mir, potpisan u Daytonu je bio glavni događaj koji je i prekinuo krvoproliće u Bosni i Hercegovini i koji je postavio temelje nove Bosne kao jedinstvene i nezavisne države. Međunarodni Sud Pravde u Hagu je priveo mnoge agresore pravdi i poslao je jasan signal internacionalne solidarnosti sa žrtvama ovih teških zločina. Mi ih nikada ne smijemo zaboraviti.
Ja sam lično posjetila Bosnu dva puta, uključujući i posjetu Sarajevu 1997. Vratila sam se sa veoma snažnim utiscima o hrabrosti Bosanaca i Hercegovaca, o veličanstvenosti bosanske kulturne raznolikosti i veoma lijepoj zemlji. Voljela bih opet posjetiti Bosnu.
SabaH: Hoće li Bosna i Hercegovina biti u centru Vaše pažnje ako budete izabrani za predsjenika. Šta je to što biste Vi posebno učinili da pomognete Bosni i Hercegovini da opstane kao jedinstvena država i da bude primjlena u članstvo NATO-a i Evropske unije?
CLINTON: Bosna je napravila vliki napredak u posljednjih nekoliko godina, ali još uvijek postoje značajni politički i ekonomski izazovi i USA moraju stojati uz Bosance i Hercegovce u ovim trenucima. Dvanaest godina nakon potpisivanja mira u Dayton-u, kombinacija američke nezainteresovanosti, slabosti Evropske unije i ruske i srpske opstrukcije prijete Bosni i Hercegovini. Ja sam insistirala kod sadašnje Vlade da obrati više paznje ka Bosni kako ona ne bi opet postala glavna opasnost za evropsku sigurnost pogotovo u ovome vremenu kada se kosovska situacija približava istorijskom rješenju.
Ja sam odlučna u namjeri da sarađujem sa Evropskom unijom kako bi se zaštitio mir i pospješio razvoj u Bosni i šire na Balkanu. Kao predsjednik, ja ću insistirati da Bosna prima stranu pomoć koju zaslužuje i pomoći ću da se Bosna integriše u Evropsku uniju i NATO.

In case that the society joins another foreign person as a founder, the same valid regulations of Bosnia and Herzegovina are applied, and also all concluded contracts with foreign investors have to be obligatory in the language of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but the foreign person as the founder can demand that the same contract is to be concluded in the foreign language besides the contract in the language of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In case of a dispute and a disagreement of the contract concluded in the language of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the foreign language, the regulations of the contract in the language of Bosnia and Herzegovina are valid.
